Somewhere I Stopped Being Me is officially live and streaming everywhere.

I wrote this song because I realized I’ve spent much of my life like a chameleon.

I learned how to change depending on who I was with, what people needed from me, and who I thought I needed to be for them. Somewhere along the way, after changing for everyone else, I started losing sight of who I actually was.

It’s incredibly easy to slowly lose yourself while doing everything you think you’re supposed to do. Showing up for everyone. Carrying responsibilities. Chasing approval. Wearing different faces. Telling everyone you’re doing alright.

Until one day you look in the mirror and realize you don’t completely recognize the person looking back.

That’s what Somewhere I Stopped Being Me is about. Finding yourself again.

I eventually realized something important.

I don’t have to change for other people.

I can grow. I can learn. I can become better. But the person I choose to become has to be for me, not for everyone else.

Maybe coming home isn’t somewhere on a map. Maybe it starts with making one brave decision to never leave yourself again.

This song also represents another step forward for me creatively. I wrote the song, lyrics, and concept, produced the track, and recorded the vocal foundation layer used to build the final vocal production.

I’ve been writing and producing music my whole life, and I’m continuing to push myself further with every song I create.
